In einer großen Längsschnitt-Untersuchung an amerikanischen Jugendlichen gaben immerhin 45 Frauen (0,5%) mindestens eine Schwangerschaft ohne vorausgehenden Geschlechtsverkehr oder Anwendung von assistierten Fertilisierungsverfahren an.
