Zusammenfassung
Der vorliegende Artikel möchte dem interessierten Leser die körperliche Aktivität als ergänzende Maßnahme zur pharmako- und psychotherapeutischen Behandlung der unipolaren Depression näherbringen. Zu Beginn werden die aktuelle empirische Datenlage bei verschiedenen Patientengruppen und die potenziellen Wirkmechanismen der körperlichen Aktivität beschrieben. Anschließend werden evidenzbasierte Handlungsempfehlungen für die Praxis abgeleitet und Gegenmaßnahmen bei geringer Compliance und drohendem Abbruch vorgestellt. Anhand eines kombinierten stationären und ambulanten Fallbeispiels wird die Umsetzung in die Praxis veranschaulicht.
