Zusammenfassung

Für Patienten mit Morbus Parkinson sind Schmerzen ein häufiges Symptom, das ihre Lebensqualität stark beeinträchtigen kann. Die zugrunde liegende Pathophysiologie ist bisher nur wenig verstanden, ein Zusammenspiel aus Veränderungen im Bereich der Basalganglien sowie anderer ebenfalls von Neurodegeneration betroffener Areale des deszendierenden schmerzhemmenden Systems scheint hier von zentraler Bedeutung zu sein.
