Zusammenfassung
Der Normaldruckhydrozephalus verursacht eine typische Gangstörung und kann mit einem demenziellen Syndrom sowie einer Dranginkontinenz assoziiert sein. Die Diagnose ist durch das unterschiedliche klinische Erscheinungsbild und häufige Komorbiditäten erschwert. Der Liquorablassversuch gibt Hinweise auf eine mögliche Besserung nach operativer Therapie. Die Einteilung in drei definierte Kategorien und standardisierte Verlaufsuntersuchungen sollen die Diagnose vereinfachen.
