Das Knochenmarködemsyndrom: Ursachen, Diagnostik und Therapie

Das Knochenmarködem ist eine pathologische Vermehrung der interstitiellen Flüssigkeit im Knochen, die in der Magnetresonanztomografie zur Darstellung kommt. Es kann atraumatisch, traumatisch, ischämisch oder reaktiv bedingt sein. Geht das Ödem mit Schmerzen einher, wird es als Knochenmarködemsyndrom bezeichnet, das sich in Einzelfällen zu einer Osteonekrose entwickeln kann. Zu den konservativen Therapieoptionen zählen Prostazyklininfusionen oder Bisphosphonate. Operativ kann eine Anbohrung erwogen werden.
