Abstract

An efficient synthesis of new highly functionalized dialkyl 3-amino-4-cyano-9-oxo-9H-fluorene-1,2-dicarboxylates and dialkyl 3-amino-4-cyano-9H-fluorene-1,2-dicarboxylate in good isolated yields is reported. In addition, reaction of 3-amino-4-cyano-9-oxo-9H-fluorene-1,2-dicarboxylate with carbon disulfide in the presence of DBU is investigated and 4,6-dioxo-2-thioxo-4,6-dihydrofluoreno[3,2-d][1,3]thiazin-1-ides was obtained in good isolated yields.
