  1. It is more correct to state that: “All translational and rotational motion of atoms ceases at absolute zero.” It may be simply deduced from this that “gases have zero volume at 0K,” which is also given in the text by P as a state of matter at −273 °C.

  2. The author has witnessed a similar process in a sheet of pure Al; grains were grown to the size of dinner plates—and contained twins!
