Samenvatting

De ontwikkeling en huidige plaats van de Nederlandse urologische complicatieregistratie worden besproken in het kader van het voortdurende streven naar verbetering van de kwaliteit van de urologische zorg. In toenemende mate wordt een gestandaardiseerde en gedigitaliseerde versie gebruikt. Sinds kort is het mogelijk om lokaal te spiegelen naar een landelijke database, waarin alle lokale registraties worden opgeslagen.

‘I never see any complications, ever’

The development and current status of the Dutch urological complication registry is discussed with regard to the continuous effort to improve the quality of urological care. A standardized and digitalized version is increasingly being used. Recently, a central database with pooled local registries can be used to mirror local data.
