Abstract
For certain pairs of real functions \(f\) and \(g\) defined and bounded in a compact interval \([a,b]\), we give a simple characteristic property on the existence of the integral of Riemann–Stieltjes of \(f\) respect to \(g\) in \([a,b]\).
