Abstract

A facile synthetic protocol for preparing highly regioregular, end group functionalized poly(3-hexylthiophene)s has been developed. The desired polymers have been successfully prepared via externally initiated polycondensation using an organozinc/Ni-catalyst complex prepared by a simple reaction of organozinc and Ni(dppe)Cl2. The resulting polymers were characterized using 1H NMR, UV-Vis spectrometer, GPC and MALDI-TOF MS.
