Abstract

The mitochondrial genome is useful for research in conservation genetics. Complete sequences have been reported for hundreds of mammalian species, but the Neotropical fauna is underrepresented. We report 65 primers to amplify and sequence the complete mitochondrial genomes of Octodontoid rodents, of which more than one-fifth are endangered species.
