Abstract
We report for the first time a set of microsatellite markers for Siniperca obscura. Among 50 pairs of primers, 31 loci were polymorphic in 28 S. obscura individuals with the number of alleles per locus ranging from 2 to 10. Observed and expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.1149 to 0.7506 and from 0.0000 to 0.9643, respectively. Significant deviation from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium was found at one locus, after applying Bonferroni’s correction. These new markers can be useful for the studies on population genetic structure, genetic diversity and conservation genetics in this species.
