Abstract

Weld arc additive remanufacturing technology is a very effective method to repair invalid molds. In this paper, taking crankshaft trimming die as an example, the manufacturing process of hot forging die is studied. Firstly, the path strategy of contour offset is proposed according to the characteristics of the die. Then, based on the reverse reconstruction technology, the three-dimensional model of the failure mold is established. By adjusting the posture of the welding gun, the weld bead cladding without support is realized. In order to improve the performance of the die, two different materials are used to achieve the purpose of gradient change. Finally, through the repair experiment of the crankshaft trimming die and the analysis of the material properties, the feasibility of the process and material is verified.
