This second article of a two-part series looks at the fate of the oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. Professor Moh’d M. Amro holds the chair for Reservoir Engineering, Production and Underground Storage at the Institute of Drilling Engineering and Fluid Mining at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. His areas of research include microbial-enhanced oil recovery, miscible and immiscible CO 2 -flooding, oil/gas-production optimization, well-performance of horizontal and multilateral wells, and treatment of oil-contaminated sites.
