Abstract
Literature reveals that there exists a conjoining defect in the form of concrescence. However, oral surgeons usually do not contemplate the possibility of the occurrence and the implications of this rare dental anomaly while planning third molar surgery. Here, we put forth an unforeseen occurrence of concrescence between an unerupted third molar and an erupted second molar that was identified following the surgical intervention. This is intended to highlight the significance of preoperative planning as well as the contemplation of rare dental anomalies encompassing third molars during third molar surgery.
