Abstract

A symmetric two-species competition system under the action of multiplicative noise, additive noise and periodic signal has been analytically studied by using two-state theory. The results indicate that signal-to-noise ratio of the system state variables exhibits a peak with multiplicative and additive noise intensities, i.e., a stochastic resonance phenomenon.
