Abstract

Using the mean-field theory and Monte Carlo simulations, we studied the coupling effect on the wetting of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising model in both longitudinal and surface magnetic fields. The ground state phase diagrams in the (H/J ||, H s /J ||) plane are determined analytically. The existing phases are strongly depending on the constant-coupling J . At finite temperature, the phase diagrams are examined in detail, in particular different phases are found to be separated for different configurations. On the other hand, the magnetizations belonging to each sublattice are presented.
