Abstract
The Ground state phase diagram of the 1D spin-1/2 XXZ model in a transverse magnetic field is studied by the numerical Lanczos method. Also by computing the energy gap and different spin-spin structure factors, quantum phase transitions in whole range of the anisotropy parameter are determined.
