Die transepidermale Applikation von Medikamenten bietet wesentliche Vorteile im Vergleich zur oralen Gabe. Doch durch eine intakte Hautbarriere wird die Aufnahme von topisch verabreichten Medikamenten großteils verhindert. Allerdings kann durch ausgeklügelte physikalische und biochemische Strategien eine gute Medikamentenresorption erzielt werden.
