Zusammenfassung
Fleckige Hyperpigmentierungen wie beim Melasma, „Altersflecken“/Lentigines oder postentzündliche Hyperpigmentierungen sind unerwünscht. Genetische Faktoren, Antikontrazeptiva und der neue Trend zurück zur Hormonersatztherapie nach Objektivierung der Karzinogenese- und Myokardinfarktdaten aus den US-amerikanischen epidemiologischen Studien führen zu einer Zunahme des Melasmas weltweit und erweitern den Markt für pigmentregulierende Externa gerade in Asien. Postinflammatorische Hyperpigmentierungen treten nach Chemical Peeling oder Laser auf, wenn die Compliance zum Lichtschutz fehlt. Da keine Leitlinien vorliegen, wird die Lehrmeinung anhand von Studien dargestellt.
