Combined gluteal augmentation with lipofilling and implants

Zusammenfassung

Glutealaugmentationen haben in den letzten Jahren in der plastischen Chirurgie zunehmend an Popularität gewonnen. Die beiden derzeit angewendeten Techniken sind die Platzierung von Silikonimplantaten und die Fettgewebstransplantation. Die Kombination von Fetttransplantation und Silikonimplantaten bietet eine Vielzahl von Vorteilen. Die Injektion von Eigenfett in die oberflächliche subkutane Schicht vermeidet die Sichtbarkeit der Implantatkonturen insbesondere bei schlanken Patienten und kann, wenn genügend Fetttransplantat sowie Empfängergewebe vorhanden sind, eine ästhetisch sehr ansprechende Volumenzugabe im Bereich der Trochantervertiefung erreichen – insbesondere in Kombination mit einem Glutealimplantat.

Abstract

In recent years gluteal augmentation has gained in popularity in plastic surgery. The two currently used techniques are placement of silicone implants and adipose tissue transplantation. The combination of fat transplantation and silicone implants provides a multitude of advantages. The injection of autologous fat in the superficial subcutaneous layer avoids the visibility of implant contours, especially in slender patients. When sufficient fat transplant and recipient tissue are available it can achieve an esthetically very appealing additive volume in the area of the trochanter recess, especially in combination with a gluteal implant.
