Zusammenfassung

Die Präparation des komplexen Wurzelkanalsystems stellt den endodontisch tätigen Zahnarzt häufig vor umfassende Probleme. Hierzu gehören das Management kalzifizierter Wurzelkanäle und ausgeprägter Kanalkrümmungen, konfluierender sowie sich aufspaltender Wurzelkanäle, aber auch die Festlegung einer adäquaten Präparationsgröße. Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt einige dieser Probleme vor und erläutert die Identifikation sowie Maßnahmen der Prävention und des Managements solcher Probleme.
