Zusammenfassung
Vollkeramische Werkstoffe haben in den letzten Jahren verstärkte Verbreitung in der Kronen- und Brückenprothetik gefunden. Vor dem Hintergrund der beständigen Indikationsausweitung vollkeramischer Restaurationen stellt sich auch die berechtigte Frage nach der Erfolgssicherheit von vollkeramischen Suprakonstruktionen. Im Frontzahnbereich wird durch vollkeramische Suprakonstruktionen zumeist eine Verbesserung der Ästhetik erreicht, sodass der Einsatz vollkeramischer Kronen zusammen mit vollkeramischen Abutments erfolgt. Zumindest für den Bereich der Einzelzahnrestaurationen existieren klinische Studien, die eine hinreichende Abschätzung der klinischen Bewährung von vollkeramischen Abutments und vollkeramischen Kronen erlauben. Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt die aktuellen Studienergebnisse vor und gibt klinische Empfehlungen zu einem vollkeramischen Restaurationskonzept.
