Abstract
Vertebroplasty has radically changed the management of vertebral and sacral fractures in insufficiency bone. With very low complications rate, this technique helps to shorten the painful acute phase and thus the duration and complications of bed rest for elderly. In contrast, vertebro-plasty does not change the clinical outcome in longer term compared to conventional medical treatment.
