A method of generation of sharp peaked parabolic and hyper parabolic optical pulses by the use of Pockels effect for long distance communication

Optical pulse generation with desired power-shaped function is very much essential in optical communication and information processing. In many experimental works of such type of pulse generation optical non-linear material having first order or second order non-linearity was massively used. Pockels materials are used as first order non-linear materials where Kerr materials are of second kind. In this paper we propose a completely new method of using Pockels materials for generation of parabolic as well as the hyper parabolic shaped sharp peaked optical pulses. To get such type of pulses we require some specially designed electronic biasing signals for exciting the electro-optic material in proper way.
