Indian Society of Applied Mechanics (ISAM), an association of academic and industrial experts working in the field of applied mechanics was formed in the year 2016. Since its genesis, the society has been organizing the biannual national event, the Indian Conference on Applied Mechanics (INCAM). The fifth in the series, INCAM-2022, was jointly organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India, and ISAM community during the month of November 11–13, 2022.
This special issue (SI) of International Journal of Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics stems from selected papers of INCAM-2022 and other original contributions that are carefully screened and peer-reviewed. The special issue, Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer, focuses on original research in the field of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and their interplay. Experimental, theoretical and numerical disseminations were given equal importance. Topics in this SI cover a wide range: from gas dynamics, solar energy, flow through porous media, to droplet dynamics; thus highlighting the diverse nature of fluid dynamics research.
The guest editors thank the authors for their timely submissions and also acknowledge the referees for their timely critics and suggestions for improvements.
