Abstract

The synchronous development of epithelial tumours and lymphoma of gastrointestinal tract has been rarely reported in the literature. In this article, we report four cases having such synchronous association. Diagnosis was made based on the microscopic examination of surgical specimens along with immunohistochemistry. These observations further lead to the discussion of the pathogenesis of these tumours and the role of Helicobacter pylori in the development of gastric lymphoma and carcinoma.
