Samenvatting

Stadsdeel Nieuw-West is een van de vroeg na-oorlogse uitbreidingswijken van Amsterdam. Het stadsdeel is gebouwd volgens de principes van het Algemeen Uitbreidingsplan van Cornelis van Eesteren uit de jaren dertig. Er moest licht, lucht en ruimte voor de arbeiders en middenklasse van Amsterdam komen.
