Vier dagen nadat de vlam van de Paralympische Spelen in Rio de Janeiro werd gedoofd en met de 19 olympische en maar liefst 62 paralympische medailles nog vers in het geheugen, vond op 22 september 2016 op Papendal voor de zevende keer het Post Olympisch Sportcongres plaats.
