Abstract

Pycnodysostosis is a rare hereditary disease, characterized by systemic bone sclerosis. We present a case of a 42 year old female patient with this disease having a subtrochanteric fracture after a trivial fall. The fracture was treated with an intramedullary nail. The surgery was a quite challenging procedure where we faced per-operatively difficulty in reaming. Healing was normal but delayed.
