Samenvatting

Inleiding:Proximale humerusfracturen beslaan 5-6% van alle fracturen bij volwassenen.1 Ongeveer de helft van deze fracturen zijn verplaatste fracturen, waarvan 77% de chirurgische nek betreft.2 Er vindt steeds vaker operatieve behandeling van deze fracturen plaats, wat met toename van zorgkosten gepaard gaat.3,4
