Inleiding: Een schouderluxatie is een veelvoorkomend letsel op de Spoedeisende Hulp (SEH); van de gewrichtsluxaties zelfs de meest voorkomende. Er zijn verschillende repositietechnieken, waaronder die van Hippocrates, Kocher, Eskimo, Stimson, Milch en Spaso, die gebruikmaken van tractie aan de humerus of manipulatie van de scapula.
