Zeldzame variant op een boxerfractuur

Samenvatting

Een 24-jarige man presenteerde zich op de Spoedeisende Hulp in verband met pijn en zwelling van het dorsum van zijn rechter (dominante) hand na een vuistslag tegen een deur. Initiële röntgendiagnostiek toonde onregelmatigheid ter hoogte van het os hamatum en de basis van metacarpale IV, welke motiveerde tot het maken van een aanvullende opname (figuur 1).
