Samenvatting

Bij de behandeling van astma streven we naar het (zoveel mogelijk) klachtenvrij zijn van de patiënt en willen we exacerbaties voorkomen. Daar blijkt in de praktijk echter veel medicatie voor nodig te zijn. Medicatie met bijwerkingen als heesheid, longontsteking en soms zelfs storingen van de bijnierschorsfunctie. Is al die medicatie echt nodig?
