Diabetes en depressie: wat doen we ermee?

Samenvatting

Dit artikel hebben we geschreven naar aanleiding van het uitkomen van de richtlijn: ‘Signalering en monitoring van depressieve klachten bij mensen met diabetes’ van de Nederlandse Diabetes Federatie (2013). In dit artikel beschrijven we wat de invloed is van depressieve klachten op diabetes en de relevantie van screening op deze klachten. We laten ook zien hoe de praktijkondersteuner kan screenen op depressieve klachten bij diabetespatiënten.
