Abstract
With increased XTC use and occasional serious incidents, targeted prevention requires a contemporary overview of harm reduction strategies in different subgroups. This article reports on harm reduction strategies in a group of respondents (age 15–35), who were self-selected through (social) media. Strategies focused on the (social) environment and individual health were more prominent than drug-related strategies: 66% always inform friends about the substances they use; 58% always drink the advised amount of water, while only 10% always test their pills. Females, young users and infrequent users expressed more commitment to their harm reduction strategies compared to their counterparts (males, old users and frequent users).
Notes
