Onderzoek in de verzekeringsgeneeskunde nog steeds in de lift? Een terugblik op 10 jaar Kenniscentrum Verzekeringsgeneeskunde

Samenvatting

De oprichting van het Kenniscentrum Verzekeringsgeneeskunde (KCVG) in 2005 betekende het begin van een stormachtige wetenschappelijke ontwikkeling van het vak verzekeringsgeneeskunde. In 2015 begon de derde fase van het KCVG. Dit is een moment om terug en vooruit te kijken naar wat deze wetenschappelijke ontwikkeling heeft voortgebracht. Er is veel onderzoek gedaan dat resulteerde in een groot aantal promoties van verzekeringsartsen. Veel kennis is ontwikkeld vooral op het vlak van kwaliteitsverbetering van de verzekeringsgeneeskundige beoordeling. Wat blijkt is dat de implementatie van die kennis in de praktijk achterblijft. De uitdaging voor de komende jaren is hierin verbetering te brengen.
