Muziek als risicofactor voor gehoorschade

Samenvatting

Een cellist, beroepsmusicus, is lid van één van de top-symfonieorkesten van Nederland. Hij meldt zich op 48-jarige leeftijd met gehoorklachten na verwijzing van de bedrijfsarts bij de KNO-arts. Hij is na het conservatorium nu bijna 25 jaar uitvoerend musicus, vooral spelend in dit orkest. De optredens zijn vaak met grote orkestwerken, 100 musici op een podium. De eerste 20 jaar van zijn beroepsleven heeft hij nauwelijks gehoorbescherming gedragen.
