Samenvatting
Adviserend geneesheren van ziekenfondsen in België worden dikwijls geconfronteerd met patiënten die arbeidsongeschikt werden ten gevolge van rugpijn of na een rugoperatie. Deze verzekeringsartsen houden toezicht op de arbeidsongeschiktheid eens één maand afwezigheid van het werk wordt overschreden. Hun wettelijke rol als begeleider komt veel minder aan bod, mede door het ontbreken van wetenschappelijke consensus.
