Samenvatting

Als tandarts op Terschelling werken, betekent rekening moeten houden met de talloze ‘badgasten’ die het eiland ieder jaar bezoeken, want die hebben soms acute tandheelkundige zorg nodig. Maar het betekent ook een wat bredere invulling van het begrip algemene tandheelkunde om ervoor te zorgen dat de patiënt niet al te snel naar een praktijk op de wal hoeft te worden verwezen. Tandarts Hans van der Meiden bewaakt echter wel zijn grenzen.
