Dr. Jappe Buijs specialiseerde zich na zijn afstuderen (Groningen, 2004) in de implantologie. In 2011 promoveerde hij op het proefschrift ‘Biodegradable plates and screws in oral and maxillofacial surgery’. Hij voert met het team Buijs Tandartsen praktijk in Groningen, waarbij de nadruk ligt op uitgebreide restauratieve behandelingen. Hij is erkend als implantoloog door de NVOI en als restauratief tandarts door de NVVRT.
