Hoe transparant was de tandheelkunde zo’n tien jaar geleden? Om antwoord op deze vraag te krijgen, hoef je niet het boek ‘Kiezen en Keuzen’ uit 1999 op te slaan. Het boek handelt over ethiek in de tandheelkunde, maar in de index komt ‘transparantie’ niet voor. Ook niet in het register van ‘De prudente tandarts’ uit 2002, een boek dat ethisch reflecteert op de tandheelkunde. Misschien is transparantie geen ethisch begrip.
