Tandarts Teun Rietmeijer had nog een eigen praktijk in Laren toen hij drie jaar geleden in contact kwammet De Kruispost Amsterdam. Had hij interesse omeen tandartspraktijk op te zetten voor buitenlanders die ongedocumenteerd en onverzekerd in ons land verblijven? De infrastructuur was uiterst beperkt en van beloning was geen sprake. Hij zei ja.
