Het obstructief slaapapneusyndroom (OSAS) is een ademhalingsstoornis waarbij tijdens de slaap de doorgankelijkheid van de luchtweg wordt verstoord. OSAS is een steeds vaker voorkomend verschijnsel. Er is steeds meer bekend over dit syndroom. Omdat er steeds meer mensen te zwaar zijn, is er ook meer OSAS.
