Over de rol van partners in psychotherapie

Individuele therapie is effectiever indien de partner van de cliënt actief betrokken wordt bij diens therapie. De partner is een belangrijke hechtingsfiguur; we pleiten ervoor de krachtige hechtingsrelatie tussen cliënt en partner ook therapeutisch te gebruiken voor individuele therapie. In dit artikel bespreken we enkele voorbeelden hiervan uit ambulante en klinische settings. Ten slotte doen we aanbevelingen over hoe de partner bij de therapie betrokken kan worden.
