Samenvatting

Op verschillende plekken hoor je geluiden dat evidence-based medicine zijn langste tijd heeft gehad. Veelal gaat het om een samenstel van bezwaren. Zo zou EBM te veel tot geprotocolleerde (kookboek)geneeskunde leiden, waardoor maatwerk voor patiënten onder druk komt te staan. Dit argument neemt met de opkomst van personalized medicine zelfs in kracht toe.
