Sociaal-psychiatrische zorg met FACT

Samenvatting

Ernstige psychische aandoeningen (EPA) treffen ca. 160 duizend Nederlanders, resulterend in verminderd psychosociaal functioneren, een langere duur van de stoornis en de noodzaak van gecoördineerde en van gespecialiseerde zorg.1) Deze noodzaak resulteerde in een van oorsprong Amerikaans organisatiemodel waarbij de zorg geboden wordt door één team van professionals. Het intensieve ACT-model bleek echter financieel niet goed haalbaar. De lichtere versie, Flexibele Assertive Community Treatment (FACT), bevat enkele sterke elementen van het Amerikaanse ACT-model, maar organiseert daarnaast de zorg flexibeler en efficiënter.
