‘Werkomgeving van invloed op verpleegkundigen én patiënten’

De werkomgeving van verpleegkundigen is van invloed op allerlei aspecten die met de zorg te maken hebben. Die invloed is misschien nog wel groter dan van personeelstekort. “Het verbeteren van de werkomgeving zou daarom minstens evenveel aandacht moeten krijgen als het aantrekken van meer personeel”, vindt prof. Walter Sermeus van de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Hij coördineerde tussen 2009 en 2011 het internationale onderzoek ‘RN4cast – nurse forecasting in Europe’.
