Glucokinase-Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young en zwangerschap

Samenvatting

Glucokinase-Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young (GCK-MODY), voorheen MODY-2 genoemd, is een monogenetische, dominant overervende aandoening. De aandoening kenmerkt zich door licht verhoogde glucosespiegels en behoeft geen behandeling buiten de zwangerschap.1,2 Tijdens de zwangerschap is soms behandeling nodig. In deze klinische les gaan we in op de behandelindicatie van GCK-MODY in de zwangerschap. Voor iedereen die te maken heeft met zwangerschapsdiabetes is het van belang vrouwen met GCK-MODY te onderscheiden van vrouwen met zwangerschapsdiabetes. Ook hierop zullen we in deze klinische les ingaan.
