Abstract

It has been extensively described that low-grade inflammatory condition plays a crucial role in the genesis and development of diseases in metabolic syndrome. Furthermore, macrophage infiltration in the adipose compartment increases the local level of inflammatory cytokines that cause insulin resistance and inhibition of adipocyte differentiation.
